I am a French composer living in Paris and Berlin since I was the one-year guest of the Artists-in-Berlin program of the DAAD (2007-08). My musical work is at the crossroads between scientific models and musical processes.

Using psychoanalytical or psycho-physiological notions, I first elaborated dense, cinematic and ramified sound networks, trying to write a music that would evoke the unconscious psychic activity or the neuronal structure. The next step was to investigate the relationships between the psyche and the city, exploring a hybrid structural and sound territory, halfway between organic and mechanical matter.

From this work on structures and being aware of the strong impact that microscopic units have on matter and forms, I turned to other scientific fields, which observe these phenomena, such as genetics, particle physics or nanosciences.

In this perspective, talking of “sound quanta” or “sound molecules”, I describes my music as a “musical genetics” or a “nanomusic”.
