Say a few words about yourself
I was born in Lille, France, and grew up in the Paris area before moving to the U.S. (Washington D.C.) with my family when I was 17 years old. I graduated from the French International High School in Bethesda, got a Master's in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, met a U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman from Arizona, moved around with him quite a bit, lived in interesting places (Panama, Central America among others). I always worked as a translator or a French and later Spanish teacher. We lived in Texas (Houston and San Antonio) for 10 years, and finally moved to NYC last summer, for job relocation. We absolutely love NYC. Our teen-age kids are adapting well and like their new schools and friends. I am looking forward to meeting other francophones and francophiles from multicultural backgrounds like us.
