  • L'atelier Francophone: Cours de théâtre en français

    L'atelier Francophone est un cours de théâtre basé sur des  exercices sur l'imagination, le corps et la voix pour arriver à un jeu créatif et "réel". Pour nourrir ce jeu, la vie intérieure de l'acteur est mise à contribution, ce qui amène de la richesse de part l'individualité de chaque personne.  

     

    Nous travaillons aussi sur des scènes écrites par des auteurs contemporains francophones.  Le cours intègre des méthodes diverses d'apprentissage du jeu (Meisner, Stanislavski, Chekhov, etc) pour que l'acteur puisse découvrir les outils qui marchent le mieux pour lui.

     

    L’accent est mis sur le travail en groupe. L’intérêt est de créer une troupe d'acteurs construite sur cet art qu’est le travail en commun, composée d’individus  qui apprécient et essaient de nourrir autant le travail de la compagnie entière que de leur propres personnes.

    Sprout invites you to experience film and video related to the field of developmental disabilities. People with developmental disabilities as subjects and performers remain marginalized in the media. The Sprout Film Festival aims to raise their profile by showcasing works of all genres featuring this population.

    By presenting films of artistry and intellect, the festival hopes to reinforce accurate portrayals of people with developmental disabilities and expose the general public to important issues facing this population. The goal is an enjoyable and enlightening experience that will help breakdown stereotypes, promoting a greater acceptance of differences and awareness of similarities.

     

    One of the movies showcased is "Mon Petit Frere de la Lune" a french short about autism.

The Black and Blue in Europe film series, features a selection of films that explore stories of black people in Europe.

  • World Nomads Morocco Talks: Abdellah Taia

    Under the High Patronage of His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco.

     

    Abdellah Taïa, a young, Paris-based Moroccan writer and intellectual figure, is one of the first openly gay writers in the contemporary Arab world. He is a major contributor of French literature emerging from the North African Arabic diaspora, and won the Prix de Flore in 2010.

    Taïa is a vigorous defender of tolerance, cultural and civic openness, democracy, and human rights, and co-authored Maroc 1900–1960 (Actes Sud) with Frédéric Mitterrand. He will appear in discussion with Dale Peck, controversial critic and acclaimed author of queer novels such as Martin and John. The two will discuss identity, gender, and sexuality in the vastly different sociopolitical contexts of contemporary New York City and Morocco.

    Listen in on a conversation with a titan of Moroccan letters. Prominent novelist and artist, Mahi Binebine will talk with Anderson Tepper about the value of Moroccan cultural heritage, identity, empowerment, and women.

    Author of six books, Binebine’s work reflects and challenges the political and social problems faced by Moroccans.
