EVENTS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES

CELEBRATING “LA FETE DE LA GASTRONOMIE”

AND FRENCH LIFESTYLE

 

Le Taste of France Tour is a 10-day celebration of French cuisine and culture that will be taking place throughout the United States from September 19th, leading up to Le Taste of France Show in New York ending on Sunday, September 30th. This national French Lifestyle campaign is in honor of “La Fête de la Gastronomie” in France.

 

Le Taste of France Tour will feature events ranging from all aspects of French culture: Restaurants; Drinks; Picnics; Desserts; Fashion; Beauty; Kids; Sports and Arts. Everyone across the United States is invited to participate and celebrate French Lifestyle and products.

 

In New York City, we are offering a French Passport, available at select locations throughout the city, which will act as a guidebook to all Le Taste of France Tour sanctioned events and participants. Passport holders will be encouraged to visit our select partners’ locations and have their passport stamped. Passport stamps will offer savings and prizes when presented at the end of Le Taste of France Tour during any of the two days of Le Taste of France Show.

 

Le Taste of France Tour confirmed participants and events:

- RESTAURANTS:

o   Members of Les Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, l’Académie Culinaire de France and dozens of  other chefs will feature a French dish, menu or culinary demonstrations at their restaurant locations. More than 30 restaurants across the United States are participating.

o Chef Christian Tetedoie, 2 Michelin stars, world president of Les Maîtres Cuisiniers de France will be coming from Lyon to promote the French “Savoir faire”.

o Leading French food providers such as D’Artagnan will launch a nation-wide campaign to promote French specialties to businesses and customers alike, called the “French classic dish of the week”.

- SCHOOLS:

Marc Murphy, Executive Chef and Owner of Benchmarc Restaurants (Landmarc and Ditch Plains) will visit schools in New York to promote Le Goût” (The Taste).

- FASHION:

Shops like Saks Fifth Avenue will have something special in store for their shoppers, pun intended.

Le Taste of France Tour will benefit Action Against Hunger, a global humanitarian organization founded in France committed to ending world hunger (www.actionagainsthunger.org). 75% of the money raised will go directly to the humanitarian organization.
