My experience as a Speech-Language Therapist ● Learning Specialist, has showed me the undeniable importance to foster the involvement of the parents in the work with their children. I am convinced that with the parents on board, the child’s language therapy will evolve even better.
HOW?
Thus, I created a new approach called “Aider à dire, Aimer à Dire”.
The driving thread (le fil conducteur) is to accompany the child AND his/hers family; to find the path to the unique individual I meet; to understand the big picture and work on the specifics, hand in hand with the parents.
My packages (les Forfaits) are therefore geared to EMPOWER THE FAMILIES;
to give support/guidance and tools to the parents, while finding solutions for the child and his/hers own language needs.
This is true for life-sessions as it is for the visio-conferences Skype® approach.
I created ways to communicate with my families via private WebPortals.
We have regular and privileged exchanges, which allow us to bounce back and forth on each other’s observations and feelings, around the child’s difficulties/differences.
In the member’s portals, the parents find an array of documents and material catered to their child’s needs.
