New York Int’l Children’s Film Festival takes place February 22 through March 17 at venues throughout NYC and includes countless premieres, filmmaker Q&As, workshops, parties and special preview screenings for children and families.
This year's lineup includes 5 French films: Dilili in Paris, the latest film from Michel Ocelot (Kirikou); Aïlo: A Lapland Odyssey, a gorgeous nature film following a reindeer's first year of life with a witty narration and a lively cast of supporting characters; Raoul Taburin, Jean-Jacques Sempé's story of a bicycle shop owner who feels like an imposter in his small French town; Minuscule: Mandibles From Far Away, the follow-up to everyone's favorite ladybug adventure, this time in Guadeloupe; Pachamama, a beautiful animated tale of two kids in the ancient Peruvian Andes whose adventure includes protecting their traditions from intruders.
