Regina Symonds has been teaching French for thirty two years. She taught Middle School French for eight years and continues to teach High School French. She was the Massachusetts Foreign Language Association French Teacher of the Year in 2016-2017, AATF Eastern Massachusetts French Educator of the Year 2016-2017 and Triton High School Teacher of the Year 2015-2016. She was the 2005 recipient of the AATF/Ministère des Relations Internationales du Québec for the Stage des professeurs at the Université Laval. Regina was also a 2000-2001 Fulbright France Teacher Exchange Scholar. Throughout her career, Ms. Symonds has traveled with students to Québec City ten times and she has completed ten Triton High School/ Lycée Saint François d'Assise La Roche French Exchange programs. She currently serves as French teacher and World Language Program Coordinator for the Triton Regional School District where the Core Values of Respect, Integrity and Excellence for All align with the Olympic values of Excellence, Respect and Friendship. Regina and her team of Triton High School World Language teachers are working on aligning their curriculum to the 2021 Massachusetts World Language Frameworks. Regina entered into the Order of Academic Palms in the rank of Chevalier in 2022 and is honored to serve as President of the AATF Jeunes Amis du Français/ Société Honoraire de Français and as Secretary to AATF Eastern Massachusetts.
