Thibault Cauvin is one of the most talented, charismatic and sought-after guitarists in the world today. He is traveling the globe throughout the year at the invitation of the most prestigious festivals and concert halls such as the New York Carnegie Hall, the Shanghai Opera, the Moscow Tchaikowski Hall, the London Wigmore Hall, the Hong Kong Opera, the Paris Théâtre des Champs Elysées, the Munich Geistag, among others. He has already given more than 1000 concerts in 120 countries, warmly greeted by the critics. He has also participated in many TV and radio programs and collaborated with famous musicians, composers and symphony orchestras. Considered as an innovative and creative performer, always working on the evolution of the classical music, Thibault is now a unique icon in the music world.
After having recorded 5 CDs on several labels, Thibault signed this year with Sony Music. His 1st album with the major meets an incredible success. The CD was for 3 months on the top 10 of the french classical sales, an historical event for the guitar. The unanimous press describes this production as a "musical recording glorious feat", and the CD is played constantly on the biggest Radios. From a family of musicians, Thibault began learning the guitar with his father, at the age of 5. After graduating from the Bordeaux and Paris conservatories, Thibault embarked on the international competitions circuit. At the age of 20, he was the frst and only guitarist worldwide to win 13 international frst prizes. With a background in contemporary music from family infuences, along with his classical training at the conservatories, Thibault has developed a unique style making him what he is today: an ambassador of the new "classical" guitar. He combines the quality and beauty of the instrument with an extraordinary passion. Thibault presents a rich and modern repertory, always full of creativity.
Thibault is regularly the guest of honor throughout the world to give master-classes, lectures or to judge competitions in the most prestigious institutions such as the San Francisco Conservatory, the Toronto University, the London Royal Academy, the Beijing University, among others.
Thibault has been appointed « Ambassador of Greater Bordeaux ». The famous Sevillana guitar manufacture « Antonio Bernal » will create two guitar models signatures Thibault Cauvin. Thibault is endorsed by the american strings company D'Addario, since 5 years.
