As the nice days are coming back, the next meetup will be dedicated to the refreshing rose wines.

This time Claude Burce will present us two great wines available on clubvinoteria.com (Pigmentum is already there, Château de la Clapière will be on the list at the meetup date as it's a new addition).

Don't forget that you can get your clubvinoteria card during the meetup for a discounted price ($30 for one year, instead of $45)!

Have a great day, and see you soon!
Cheers,

PIGMENTUM (Cahors Malbec Rosé)

The Story3439518272?profile=original
Pigmentum is a Latin word meaning “thing that gives colour”, the origin of the English word “Pigment”. Therefore, Pigmentum reminds us the Roman origins of our wines as well as its very dark colour, which is the main characters of the Malbec. This cuvee is made from Malbec grapes that grow in the area of Cahors, bordering the “Lot” river. It is the only French area where malbec has been grown for more than 2000 years. Pigmentum is a bled rose.

Tasting Notes
Powerful aromas on the nose of red fruits:cherry and raspberry, which continues in the mouth. Ripe tannins are supported by the fruit flavours. A soft and easy wine to drink now or within two years.

Food Pairing
Beginning of Spring and for all the summer, this wine is perfect to drink with appetizer, salads, white meat and also with spicy food.

CHATEAU DE LA CLAPIERE

The Story
Purchased by Henri and Charlotte Fabre in 1928, Château de la Clapière is located 5 km from the Hyère beaches in the middle of a Garden of Eden where tea 3439518308?profile=originalused to be cultivated. Its history was marked by the Roman era and the Knights Templar, until Queen Victoria from the United Kingdom passed through in the late 19th century: this royal visit decided the site’s fate, to the point where the Château’s restored cellars would house a museum that was dubbed by Elisabeth II and devoted to her ancestor’s stay in Hyères.

Tasting Notes
A powerful and very aromatic nose. In the mouth the fat dominates with a beautiful note of freshness and finishes with a touch of acidity.

Food Pairing
This pleasant fruity rosé can be well enjoyed during a long meal.
