PIAF: HER STORY... HER SONGS celebrates the extraordinary life of the legendary Edith Piaf through her songs. French jazz singer and recording artist Raquel Bitton is internationally recog- nized as the leading interpreter of Edith Piaf’s repertoire and has performed at three sold-out shows at Carnegie Hall. In the film, Bitton performs her most famous songs and takes us on a moving and emotional journey through Piaf’s tempestuous life. Woven into the live concert is a luncheon in Paris, hosted by Bitton, in which many of Piaf’s composers, friends and family share their mem- ories of the great artist, who tragically died more than 50 years ago.
