This event is designed help them play at great venues with other gifted musicians and to get to know professionals in the American music scene! A young saxophonist from Paris, Neil Saidi just moved to New York a few months ago to study at the New School for Jazz thanks to several grants he obtained from the George Lucy Foundation (via the Fulbright commission). Prior to this, and as a parallel to his philosophy licence program, he studied music at the 9th Arrondissement Conservatory of Paris.

Born in Paris in 1989, Sarah Carso began her musical education at a very early age at the Academy Georges Bizet, where from the age of 6, she followed a complete program of classical
music. She first studied the double bass and entered into the Paris National Conservatory at the age of 14. Having worked with Claudia Solal and Sara Lazarus, she entered into the Paris National Conservatory again but this time as a jazz singer. She earned the Diploma of Musical studies. She had the opportunity to work with artists of international fame such as David Berger, Chuck Israel, Christine, Ingrid Jensen, Judy Niemack, Sara Lazarus, and Michelle Hendrix to name a few. The Big Band of the Academy of Paris, directed by Pierre Bertrand, also invited her participate in a series of concerts themed on the works of Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington, the Latin American Song Book and even Count Basie. Sarah is currently completing a M.A. in Music in New York and regularly in plays in New York and Paris.

Félix Lemerle is a jazz guitarist and composer. Born in Paris, the son of an upright bass player, he was exposed to jazz at an early age. After studying classical piano at the conservatory, he taught himself guitar in his teens and started performing around town and in Europe in various clubs and festivals. After graduating from the CRR de Paris, he was granted a Fulbright scholarship to CUNY Queens College in New York, where he is currently doing his Master in Jazz Performance. He performed in many different settings with Joe Cohn, Ed Howard, André Villéger, René Mailhes, Nicolas Dary, René Urtreger, Luigi Grasso, Freddie Redd, Alain Jean-Marie, Manhu Roche, Ari Roland, etc.
