Join Armin Arefi, author of Green Ribbons and Turbans, for a talk on the occasion of the book’s release in English in the U.S. on November 1, 2011.

Armin Arefi was a press correspondent for major French newspapers in Iran until 2007, when he fled the country to avoid persecution and imprisonment. Inspired by his experience in the Islamic Republic, he seeks to combat the usual clichés about the Iranian people and to keep the world informed about what’s happening on the streets of Tehran. His contacts in Iran reported to him daily during the protests following the 2009 election, giving him eyewitness accounts as material for this book. He currently lives in France.

The talk will be moderated by Delia Casa, Arefi’s editor at Skyhorse Publishing.

In English.
