    The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, is proud to present a new CinemaTuesdays series celebrating the rich history of women's filmmaking in France.

     

    This February 22, Cinema des Femmes: Perspectives on Women Filmmakers will show a double-screening of The Drunken Mattress by Alice Guy Blache and Romeo Bosetti and Window Shopping (Golden Eighties) by Chantal Akerman.

     

    Both films are screened at the following times:

    12:30 pm,  4pm,  7:30pm.

  • Description: The music of GINKGOA, a type of new "Chanson Francaise," or French Song, fresh and inventive, mixed with jazzy influences and rhythms, Bossa nova, and strong melodies. Our repertoire includes mostly original compositions in French but we have also added some more modern jazz and pop songs in English with reworked arrangements geared towards a modern crowd.
