Montand’s charm is off the charts here: He’s utterly dynamite in the role of the disaffected millionaire who buys a Broadway role in order to be closer to its vivacious starlet (Monroe, as irresistible as ever). Cukor (Philadelphia Story) expertly juggles satire, star chemistry, sumptuous Jack Cole musical numbers, and Cole Porter songs.
