French-Italian actor and singer Yves Montand had a voice that was one in a million, cut with an inimitable vibrato and Mediterranean charm. A true 20th century icon, he was discovered by Edith Piaf, and went on to appear in more than 50 films including The CrucibleZ, and Let’s Make Love. But, 25 years after his death, what is left of Yves Montand’s legacy?

Contemporary French actor Lambert Wilson takes on both the man and his milieu in an original new stage show. Singing greatest hits from Montand’s repertoire, Wilson tells the captivating story of a boy from a working class family whose talent, ambition, and luck propelled him to stardom. The result is an extraordinary portrait composed of poetry, text, and well-known songs.
