La Soiree des Grand Crus de Bordeaux Event in NYC - Jan 27

There are only a limited number of tickets available for NYC’s first La Soiree des Grands Crus Bordeaux event on January 27. This is a rare opportunity to meet the owners and winemakers of nearly 30 wines produced among France’s high quality appellation AOC’s of St.-Estephe Grand Cru Classe, St.-Emilion Premier Cru Classe, St.-Emilion Grand Cru Classe, Grand Cru Classe de Graves, Pessac-Leognan, and Pomerol. In addition to tasting the wines, guests will have the occasion of connecting with the proprietors, sampling the most recent vintage releases, and of placing orders for the preferred wines.

NYC’s well known Chocolatier Francois Payard will create chocolates to be paired with each of the six Bordeaux appellations. For those who wish to participate, guests may tryout for the Grand Cru Challenge and becoming the most talented blind taster. A Breitling B01 Chronomat watch (worth over $7500) will be awarded to the winner, and there will be over $20,000 worth of noted magnum bottles for the runners up. Those wishing to enter will take a brief quiz that tests Bordeauz wine knowledge. The top responders will be selected to compete in this exciting contest.

Additional sponsors and guests will include Hugo Boss, Born, Jean-Luc Le Du of Le Du’s Wines, George Sape, Maitre of the Commanderie de Bordeaux, HSBC, and Open Skies.  Bordeaux chateaux to be featured include Lafon-Rochet, de Fieuzal, Malartic Lagraviere, Larrivet Haut-Brion, La Conseillante, Clinet, Close Fourtet, Dassault, and Grand Mayne.

This exclusive event will take place at 82 Mercer Soho on Mercer St. (between Broome & Spring Sts.) on Thursday, January 27 at 7:30 P.M. for general admission ticket holders, and 6:00 P.M. for early access ticket holders. To purchase tickets, log on to www.lasoireedesgrandcrus.com.
