Kerline Devise is a Haitian poet and scholar. Her book of poetry, Mes Corps (2009) was published in a bilingual edition, with a Spanish translation by Zoé Valdès. Her poetry is featured in the anthology Terre de femmes – 150 ans de poésie féminine en Haïti (2010).  Kerline Devise's research, at the Université de Paris-8, examined the politics and esthetics of bodies as conceived by Michel Foucault. She is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the École Normale Supérieure of the Université d'État d'Haïti, and is currently a visiting scholar in Comparative Literature at New York University.
