With an impressive career balancing the role of producer and curator, Michel Reilhac is showcasing and creating some of the most unique immersive campaigns as the Executive Director of ARTE France Cinema.

In this talk, hear why Reilhac - and ARTE, one of Europe’s top cultural public broadcasters - are investing in the future of storytelling by producing transmedia programs. What is the foundation of this medium, and what draws us to expanding the stories we love onto multiple screens and even real life? Reilhac also helps us to see a bit into the future, and understand what is at stake for media makers, besides just creating these cross-platform stories.

We draw lessons from his own experience, and through sneak previews of new works that ARTE is unveiling in the coming months, including “Cinema City” , a geolocalized augmented reality project mapping Paris through its films, showing the iconic French films taking place on the Parisian corner where you are standing, “LARP this Movie,” wherein you & friends create the live sequel to a film you’ve just watched, and " Post-it ing Louise Wimmer", an unusual marketing strategy for a small budget independent film using hand written post it messages and an online live fiction extension.
