Friends ,Come join us as we celebrate Fête de la Musique, here in New York. Summer Stage joins the global Francophone and Francophile community in celebrating chanson française (French song) with a line up representing the diversity of French contemporary music. The highlight of the show is going to be the ever popular, "SALIF KEITA." The lineup of artists also include TABOU COMBO and LO’JO . If you do not have an idea who either one is ,you still got a few days to do some researching and downloading :-)The concert begins at 3:00pm and ends at 7:00pm. Summer Stage concerts holds a certain number of people and once full , everyone else is refused. Therefore, I will wait for my members from 1:45pm to 2pm, infront of the Band Shell. This is the old stage outside of the Summer Stage Venue. If you arrive late do look for us in the seating area of the venue. I will be placing a French flag to the top, so it will be easy to identify the group. I have also included my number below if you have a hard time finding the venue. If you come solo, you will definitely meet other Francophones and Francophiles. The show normally consists of people walking around the park, music lovers, tourists, fans of the singers, and also people who just like free concerts, hence the reason for the crowd. There will also be vendors at the venue. Feel more than welcome to invite your friends. Do hope to see many members at this event, as its going to be a great day to take in French Music, meet nice people , dance and have a great time! Cheers.Organizer,Rory Biscette347.425.4231
