Just for you: Monthly French Play Dates & Networking, May 19, 2013, 3:00–5:15 p.m., 111 East 22nd Street

Theme: Celebrating the 70th birthday of "The Little Prince," by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

I need your help. I may have a group of French journalists visiting for this play-date, and I would love to have you and your family there and be able to confirm that you are coming.

I would love to have some help reading a paragraph of The Little Prince in different languages (page 56, Chapter XXI … "It was then that the fox appeared…"). We will also have a birthday cake, art crafts, etc….

The Little Prince, first published in 1943, is a novella and the most famous work of the French aristocrat, writer, poet and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

I am the mother of five-year-old trilingual twin girls, in addition to being an art dealer, the chairwoman for the Children and Education sections of Taste of France, and the founder of a French summer camp. I invite you and your children to join us for a series of fun and educational play dates that celebrate our French culture, and to discuss the challenges of raising young bi- and trilingual children in New York City. Bring your friends, parents, and children (infants to 7 years old).

Birthday cake,  Cheese, crackers, and refreshments will be offered. We suggest a $10 donation/per adult, $5/per child, free under 24 months.

We look forward to seeing you, and I appreciate your referrals.
