In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the independence of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rico Workshop Productions and producers Jackie Jeffries and Rico Speight will present Aimé Césaire's '' A season in the Congo' at the Lion Theatre at New York's Theatre Row this fall. A Season in the Congo is the turbulent history of the Congo’s first year of independence and the rise and fall of the legendary leader Patrice Lumumba.
