Cohen Media Group is proud to announce the release of 3 HEARTS, a new beguiling drama from acclaimed French director Benoît Jacquot (Farewell, My Queen) about destiny and missed connections, featuring some of France’s top actors, that explores the age-old moral conundrum of a love triangle. 3 HEARTS is scheduled to open in New York on Friday, March 13 (at Lincoln Plaza) followed by a national roll-out.

A twist of fate leaves a hapless accountant romantically torn between two sisters. While traveling through a small provincial town, reserved and melancholic Parisian Marc (Benoît Poelvoorde, Man Bites Dog) meets by chance Sylvie (Charlotte Gainsbourg) after missing his train back to Paris.  Instantly and intensely drawn to one another, they wander through the streets until morning.  A thwarted plan for a second meeting sends each in a separate direction-Sylvie reunites with her ex and leaves France whereupon Marc meets and woos Sophie (Chiara Mastroianni)—blissfully unaware that she’s Sylvie’s sister.  Upon Sylvie’s return to France, the spark between her and Marc is reignited in ways that will forever alter the relationships between sister to sister and husband to wife.

Prolific writer/director Benoît Jacquot started his career as an assistant director to Marguerite Duras, and has directed over 40 feature films including the recent critical hit Farewell, My Queen (Diane Kruger), Sade (Daniel Auteuil), The School of Flesh (Isabelle Huppert) and A Single Girl (Virginie Ledoyen). He recently directed an acclaimed production of La Traviata for the Paris Opera. Mr. Jacquot will be the subject of a tribute at New York’s French Institute/Alliance Francaise in March in connection with the release of 3 HEARTS.
