We are planning to start a French immersion preschool in NYC that operates as a maternelle, on the French national curriculum, as opposed to a Montessori or some other teaching style. Are there any French native speakers here in NYC who have Early Childhood Education degrees? Or experience in a French maternelle? Please send a CV! Thanks!
You need to be a member of New York in French to add comments!
Teaching Certification: CAPE (certificat d'aptitude au Professorat des écoles)
I am currently studying (by correspondence, since I work full time), to get my Master in Linguistics: "French as a foreign language". I already have 3/4 of my credits, I need to experience a bilingual education to write my essay and then, get graduated.
I would follow a programm to get the NY state teaching certification if I can be hired in the same time (which requires a visa).
I can send a full CV, if you give me an email address.
Whenever you are interested, we could have an interview via Skype. I could come over NYC for a real interview if things go further.

Hello!
I am a primary teacher, French and currently teaching in France, but could move quite easily.
I teach second graders right now, and have taught in maternelle for two years (TPS/PS/MS, and GS, so at any level), and
I have taught for 11 years now.
I have been using ePals for ten years now, I am used to collaborate with foreign teachers, mostly Americans.
I can also be a Principal, I feel ready for that now.
I've been to NYC in 2010 (July), and have just spent summer in Alaska, so living in USA wouldn't be something new.
My degrees are:
Baccalaureat: D mention AB (maths and sciences)
DEUG B, double mention: biology biochemistry + natural sciences and geology
Bachelor degree: Licence de biologie (1997)
Teaching Certification: CAPE (certificat d'aptitude au Professorat des écoles)
