3438862625?profile=originalThe New York French American Charter School is a growing community school with a global focus. As the only free, bi-lingual French Charter School in the U.S., they are also the only school to offer immersive French courses to children with special needs, label-france-education-e7c44.jpg?width=144as well as offering immersive support for non-French speakers, providing them with the opportunity to enroll in the school until grade five.

Founded in 2010, NYFACS is the first bilingual Franco-American public charter school in New York and the United States. This school began as an answer to the numerous needs of the francophone community in NYC, specifically in the western Harlem neighborhood where NYFACS is currently located. Even before entering the school, you will most likely hear French being spoken on the street.

  • Bonjour,
I am a prospective French teacher currently enrolled in an a Pre-Service Program at Rutgers University and am working towards obtaining a Teaching Certificate.  One of my course requirements is to observe a French classroom in a middle or high school for a 4 hour period.   I would love the opportunity to observe a French classroom at your school. Could you could grant me this opportunity?

If needed, I can certainly provide a letter from Rutgers University explaining in further detail.
This requirement must be complete by February 29th, so I thank you in advance for your prompt response.

    Cordialement,
    Heidi Rosenthal
