Je suis Guillaume LAURENT , titulaire de 2 diplomes d'Etat en France : Saxophone et Ensemble Jazz. J'ai 10 annees d'experience comme professeur dans les conservatoires parisiens.
( Also, I have been fingerprinted in NYC).
For the past five years, because of my recognized teaching experience in Paris conservatories, I was a teacher in the Jazz program of Bronx Lab School. There, by giving weekly saxophone Jazz lessons and workshops, I created core group of experienced saxophonists and led them through music literacy to music theory to jazz improvisation, resulting in a group of players who were able to perform in professional jazz gigs after only four years.
Unfortunately after many budget cuts the program ended last summer. I'm actually looking for new students and teaching opportunities.
