ROCK THE STATUE GREEN: A TRANSATLANTIC ART CONTEST

Six months ago the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York City launched a contest opened to students in grades pre-K to 12 in the USA and in France, to celebrate the Statue of Liberty's 125th birthday.

Since, between 3000 and 4000 students have participated at this Transatlantic School Artistic and Environmental Competition, celebrating also Franco-American friendship. This represents a total number of entries of 3562 photos, 250 videos, and 320 texts. 100 semi-finalists have been selected, Grand Prize Winners will be announced next Friday, December 16th.   • Tomorrow is my birthday.For the first time in a long time I wish I would still be at school and could enter the competition with my work on view right now @ Ceres Gallery. This is a wonderful theme and inspiration.
