Master's Programs

Mercy College- The M.S. in Bilingual Education Program (36 credits). Applicants must have an initial teaching certificate, and be proficient in a language other than English.

Bilingual Extension Programs

(For educators that already have a Master’s degree)

Canisius College- Bilingual Education Extension program (15 credits) in regular or special bilingual education. Candidates must have New York State Teaching Certification and have taken 12 credit hours of college/university credit in a language other than English.

Mercy College- The Bilingual Extension Advanced Certificate Program (15 credits). Candidates must have a Master's Degree and an initial certificate in early childhood, childhood, or a content area subject other than a foreign language, and be proficient in a language other than English.

Long Island University- Advanced Certificate in Bilingual Education (15 credits). Candidates must have prior teaching certification and proficiency in a language besides English.
