Live in Brooklyn? Did not get accepted to a French DLP kindergarten? Don’t give up! These two schools (both in Bed-Stuy) will likely have to reach outside of their zones to find sufficient numbers of Francophone kids, giving your kid a very good chance of admission:
- PS 3 - the Bedford Village School
Contact the school secretary, Ms. Tanya Johnson, to pre-register: TJohnso4@schools.nyc.gov- UPDATE: I spoke with PS 3 again today, and they are all set to go with a French DLP kindergarten in September. Spots are still available, and French-speaking kids from outside the district are being accepted. Reach out to them directly or message me for info.
- PS 5 - the Ronald McNair School
Contact parent dynamo, Mr. Benoit Busseuil, on FaceBook for information.- UPDATE: There will be an informational meeting about the French DLP this Wednesday, May 1 at the school.
Bonne chance!
