Say a few words about yourself
Met Museum Presents is a wide-ranging series of performances and talks that features new dance, theater music and multi-media commissions, site specific productions and singular performances that explore contemporary issues through the lens of the Museum’s exhibitions and unparalleled gallery spaces. In the past two seasons, Met Museum Presents pioneered site-specific performances including, Twinned (a site-specific performance with Dance Heginbotham performing with Alarm Will Sound) and a site-specific commission of Monteverdi’s Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda and Lembit’s Beecher’s I Have No Stories to Tell You with Gotham Chamber Opera in the Arms and Armor Court. “The [Zorn@60] series reached a peak on Saturday, when Mr. Zorn effectively occupied the Metropolitan Museum of Art,” wrote, The New York Times, which on another occasion, suggested readers “Think of the new concert season at The Metropolitan Museum of Art as the Met remixed.” The NY PHIL BIENNIAL and Met Museum Presents link arms and exuberantly embrace the newest works to enter the classical canon.
