    Since 1940, the PAC continues Benjamin Franklin's tradition of gathering French and Americans for dinner at his home in Passy. Our dynamic Young Member Committee is revitalizing the club and also plans many diverse events this fall.

    Under the high patronage of Her Excellency, Jane D. Hartley, Ambassador of the United States to France and the Honorable Bertrand Lortholary, Consul General of France in New York, the Paris American Cub will hold its 75th Anniversary Luncheon and the American Club of Paris will hold its 70th Anniversary Dinner on Wednesday, June 1st:

    12:30 pm, National Arts Club, 15 Gramercy Park South

    7:00 pm, Cercle de l’Union Interalliée, 33 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré 

    The American Club of Paris, founded in 1913 and one of the oldest non-diplomatic American institutions in France (and perhaps the world), has the dual purpose of providing Americans living in and around Paris with opportunities to meet, and at the same time, to preserve the special ties that the United States has had with France for more than two centuries.

    Inspired by Benjamin Franklin's Sunday suppers at his home in Passy, outside of Paris, from 1776 to 1785, and putting aside our lineage going back to 1940, when prominent American expats returned to the US during the Occupation, the Club provides a genteel alternative for developing relationships in today's harried, on-line world.
