SISTER-SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP MANHATTAN / SOUTHERN FRANCE

Hi everyone,

I'm an English teacher in Southern France in a little town called Montelimar and I'm looking for a high school in Manhattan to settle a sister-school partnership between our two schools. Moreover, I'm in Manhattan from the 21st to the 25th of Otober so it will be possible for me to see the persons / high schools that can be interested.

    Tu es fixée sur un lycée à Manhattan?  Il y en a d'autres "dans les marécages aux alentours" qui seraient peut-être aussi intéréssants, et peut-être plus motivés à communiquer avec une petite ville, puisqu'elles te ressemblent d'avantage..  Je suis prof de français dans une école élémentaire dans la banlieue New Yorkaise - les parents de mes élèves font les 100km tous les jours pour y aller au travail - mais j'ai des liens avec une douzaine de lycées ici à Connecticut avec l'American Association of Teachers of French/Connecticut Chapter, si les New Yorkais ne répondent pas à tes besoins.

      You are right Paul. To tell the truth it is difficult when you don't know  the country pretty well to foresee an exchange that could be far from a big city. I asked for Manhattan because it is easier when you wanna make about 25/30 students discover. It is a city I know quite well and I don't know how far Manhattan is from your Connecticut high schools. In Manhattan, museums, theatre, attractions... evrything is close that's why I think it could be easier, you know what I mean?
