SR - Socially Relevant Film Festival New York - 2017

SR Socially Relevant Film Festival (™) New York, a relatively new non-profit film festival, will have its 4th edition March 13-19, 2017 at the Bow Tie Cinemas in Chelsea, The School of Visual Arts MFA Social Documentary and the Center for Remembering and Sharing. Closing night awards Ceremonies will take place at the Tenri Cultural Institute in the Village. The festival showcases socially relevant films with human interest stories as a response to the proliferation of violence and violent forms of storytelling. SR(™) believes in promoting positive social change through the powerful medium of cinema. During its first two years the festival showcased 157 films from 33 countries covering a wide range of social issues and human interest stories.
