The smaller room (still big actually has a lot of build-in storage and can also offer a private entrance) is $1,800 and the biggest one (facing the backyard) is $2,000 - both have a very nice wooden floor (old Italian style).
Common areas include a massive (really massive one) living room, kitchen (separate w/ washing machine, dryer, cooker, micro-wave etc) and a full bathroom. We have moved in this place early January so there is still plenty of room if you have furniture to bring to the common space and/or private space.
3 min away from Astor Place subway station also 10 min away from L, F and V trains.
The neighborhood being East Village, it is pretty lively and has plenty of restaurants and is not far from Whole Food Market on Bowery St (10 min) – there are also a lot of supermarkets, dry cleaners and everything you may need around...
The flatmates are 1 German journalist and 1 French girl working in advertisement (both working 9-6, pretty laid back and going out a lot).
