AMERICAN AU PAIR WANTED IN PARISfrom 08/24/2009 to 08/15/2010 (12 months) - PARIS metro Dupleix (15th) - 2 kidsWe are a French family who spent 4 years in the US from 2004 to 2008. Our 2 kids, Adam 5 and Norah 3, grew up in New York and we want them to stay in touch with the American culture and language.Our wonderful au pair is living soon and we are looking for another wonderful American girl to take care of the kids. We live in Paris, close to the Eiffel Tower, at “metro Dupleix”.The ideal person- American English native speaker ONLY- non smoking, creative, dynamic, autonomous, responsible, caring- experienced with kids (references)- will provide the kids a safe and healthy environment- will talk to the kids in English and help them improve their level of EnglishContract- commitment from August 24th 2009 to August 15th 2010- 30 hours of work + 2 evening baby sittings /week- Sundays off and at least 1 week-end off/month- at least 1 week of paid vacation every 6 months- during school vacations (2 weeks every 6 weeks of class), hours may increase or decrease- legal contract validated through the Direction Départementale du Travail - URSSAF - French Social Security- the au pair must be aged between 18 and 26 and graduated- the au pair must attend a French language program: minimum of 6 hours of class + 4 hours of personal work- the au pair must pay her trip to ParisDuties- dropping the kids at school at 8.30 am in the morning (bus)- picking up the kids at 4.00 pm and taking care of them until 8.00 - 8.30 pm- taking them to their activities or to the playground- bath- cooking diner and preparing lunchboxes- helping them with homework- organizing playdates with other American families- brushing teeth, story time and bedtime- Wednesdays might be full time- light housekeeping: help the kids clean up the room, clean the kitchen after meals …We offer- an independent room with bathroom and cooking facilities- meals with the kids during the week or food provided- access to washer and dryer- Navigo Pass 2 zones (public transportation)- 80 euros a week as pocket money- payment of the translation fees for the diploma- help to find a school - contribution to the school fees up to 400€/year (=one term)- help with French language and culture- possibility to share our family activitiesContact Christelle: 01133 6 19 89 62 59 or christelle_thouvenin@yahoo.fr ASAP.(The paperworks at the Direction Départementale du Travail and for the visa take 2 months.)
