  • Hello Lamia, Crepes are from Bretagne and Normandie and Escargots are from Burgandy. They are very know and served in Paris. But there are some typical menus served in Paris restaurants specially near where I live, around Avenue Victor Hugo:
-LAPIN A LA MOUTARDE (Rabbit with mustard)=1 whole fresh rabbit cut into pieces+80ml oil+1tablespoon unsalted butter+1/2cup whole grain mustard+750ml dry white wine+250ml creme fraiche+5g fresh parsley minced+salt and pepper.
-CHOU FARCI AMBASSADE D'AUVERGNE(Ambassade d'Auvergne's Stuffed Cabbage)=1cabbage+250ml dry white wine+1liter meat or poultry stock+170g bacon cut into pieces+Stuffing of 170g fresh swiss chard or spinach rinsed, dried, and coarsely chopped+1large bunch of parsley minced+1large onion minced+1clove garlic minced+280g pork sausage meat+1egg+1slice white bread soaked in 2 tablespoons milk+170g prunes pitted+salt and freshly ground black pepper.
-CROQUE-MONSIEUR(grilled ham and cheese sndwich)=3tablespoons unsalted butter+12small thin slices pain de mie+200g best-quality ham cut to fit bread slices+125g gruyere cheese.
-MADELEINES(little tea cakes)=4eggs+200g sugar+zest of 2lemons+225g flour+170g unsalted butter melted and cooled+1tablespoon unsalted butter for the baking dish.
Please let me know if this helps and/or you would need ideas for desserts. Good luck Lamia.
  • Merci Beaucoup Caroline!

    Salut Lamia:

You have typical French food depending on what region of France you're looking at. Paris might not be the easiest but here are a few ideas:

Near Paris you have a few typical cheese types:

    - Le Brie: un fromage à base de lait de vache, à pâte molle
    - Le Coulommiers: Il était produit traditionnellement dans la ville de Coulommiers, à l'est de Paris: plus petit et plus épais que le Brie

Parisian meet especially the Entrecôte is said to be quite famous

Another thing you could mention is the "Bistro" parisien, little cafés and restaurants where parisians eat.
Nourriture spéciale de Paris ! Aide !
Pour mon projet dans mon francais classe, j'ai besoin des nourritures spécifiques de Paris. Par exemple, crepes et escargots mais j'ai besoin beaucou…
