French for Little Ones (FFLO) is a French Immersion Program located in the Greenpoint/Williamsburg area of Brooklyn. Our program is based on the French Education Nationale Curriculum offering classes to children 2 to 4 years old. We’re currently seeking a top-notch experienced early childhood teacher for the Fall 2019 school year, beginning in September. Responsibilities include:
Planning and implementing weekly lesson plans
Organizing & leading activities designed to promote physical, intellectual and social development in children such as games, arts & crafts, music and storytelling
Creating a safe and nurturing environment while establishing rules to promote positive behavior in children
Effectively communicate & build positive relationships with parents, students and staff
Arrange and maintain an inviting, clean and hazard free classroom environment while adhering to safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Education or related field
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working with multiple young children at one time preferably between the ages of 2-4 years in a licensed childcare facility
Effective communicator, strong organizational skills & ability to work as part of a team
Familiar with Montessori style teaching elements preferred
NY State ECE license preferred
CPR / First Aid Certification
Reference letters available upon request
Native French speaker, fluent in English
Authorized to work in the US
Job Type: Part-time (Full-time possible)
Hours: Monday through Friday from 8am-2pm, includes one after-school day per week until 5pm.
