On January 12, the AIANY Global Dialogue Committee will announce the winners of their recent "Call for Collaborative Design" and charrette program, intended to elicit new prototypes for transitional to permanent housing for Haiti. This event will exhibit the twelve original selections chosen for the charrette and will also present and fundraise for the six final designs arising from the charrette process. Two communities in Haiti have been selected for local implementation of these six prototypes and with your contributions Haitians will be trained to build these homes as a demonstration for others two follow. This event commemorates the one-year anniversary of the earthquake whose devastating effects continue to ravage Haiti.
