"Jeux Droles" is the first acting workshop for children to learn and have fun in French - Starting in January @ CoucouBrooklyn
Teach a language through acting, boost self-confidence and have fun.

    Have fun with acting

“Jeux D’roles” means roleplay and funny games. Our approach is based on words and pronunciation, sense memory, repetition, improvisation and immersion, invented scenes or scenes from existing plays.

    Learn a language
Our workshops are bilingual but mostly taught in French. Our objective is to teach children how to learn to communicate and have fun in another language. Speaking a language is not only about saying words. It is also about finding your “persona” in another language. This includes thoughts, sensations, emotions and experiences in another language that can be discovered and explored through acting. Our classes offer a trusted and safe environment that enables children to develop imagination and focus, and to build self-confidence.

  • Description:

A warm, funny, literate comedy in which two French actors portray two French actors, friends at odds with one another in every possible way, except their love of Molière’s The Misanthrope. Lambert Wilson (OF GODS AND MEN) plays Gauthier, tall, handsome, and the beneficiary of a leading role in a ridiculous soap opera as a beloved cosmetic surgeon who “saves lives.” Fabrice Luchini (who previously worked with Le Guay in WOMEN ON THE 6TH FLOOR) as Serge has met with much less success, becoming a middle-aged curmudgeon who has renounced the stage to live on the glorious île de Ré, off France’s Atlantic coast. Gauthier arrives on Serge’s turf to try to convince his pal (Luchini, in real life, a Molière expert) to return to Paris to play opposite him in a new production. When not arguing or rehearsing scenes while biking, they consider their options as personified by a local porn actress and an attractive Italian divorcée, as well as the lure of island real estate.

Sundance Selects is proud to announce the release of  YOUNG & BEAUTIFUL, the latest drama from Francois Ozon, one of the most provocative French writer-directors, featuring a star-making performance by stunning newcomer Marine Vacth.  YOUNG & BEAUTIFUL is scheduled to open in New York (IFC Center) on Friday, April 25 followed by a national roll out.

“No one’s serious at 17,” wrote Arthur Rimbaud,  a sentiment  that may justify the choices made by 17-year-old Isabelle (Ms. Vacth), over the course of a pivotal year. Her transgressive and intimately observed coming-of-age journey is divided in four seasonal chapters and four pop songs, from her sexual awakening to her first time, to her foray into prostitution and her search for identity. Francois Ozon observes her journey without judgment, reflecting on the emotions and insecurities that saturate a young person’s entrance into adulthood, and again proves a master at coaxing strong performances from young actors. YOUNG & BEAUTIFUL was nomi
