    L’exposition "Kota Ancestors" aura lieu à New York du 11 Mai au 11 Juin 2011. Bernard Dulon exposera à la galerie Friedman et Vallois vingt pièces rares d’art Kota un art africain. Le vernissage aura lieu le 12 Mai de 16 heures à 20 heures lors de la première édition de la foire AOA Tribal Art Fair - America Oceania Africas.

    Le Kota, est compris de nombreux groupes ethniques plus petits. Les membres du groupe Kota pratiquent l'adoration d'ancêtres qui est la base de leur art. C'est le cas au Gabon oriental, où la plupart des formes d'art sont connectées d'une manière ou d'une autre à la vénération des ancêtres ou aux reliques héréditaires.

    Les œuvres du Kota sont uniques en leur genre se caractérisent surtout de figures de reliquaires avec des têtes stylisées couvertes de cuivre. Le corps est le plus souvent d'une forme triangulaire simple supportant la tête. Ces figures, d'habitude plutôt petites, étaient placées dans des boîtes de fibres ou des paniers, appelés "Bwete".

    Français I is a fast-paced class designed to help you learn to speak French with confidence and make friends with a wonderful group of like-minded Francophiles.

    French I is a basic French language class designed for performing arts professionals and theatre lovers. The first half of the class will focus on grammar with an emphasis on verbs. Students will also perform simple improvisation exercises to build a personal relationship to the language and increase confidence speaking French.

    Beatrice waits for love in a nearly empty room in her 33rd-floor apartment. She has posted noticed declaring that a well-to-do heiress is seeking a man who will interest, move and seduce her. 
    She offers a substantial rewards which lures John, a self described "bounty hunter".
    When John climbs the stairs to deliver his proposal in person, the rules are drawn and the match begins.

    In a confined room, in a highly charged atmosphere, two different words and personalities are going to make sparks fly.
    They will clash, brush against each other, embrase, following Beatrice's rules. She will be hopping to share the same reality, and he will be waiting for his reward.

    L'atelier Francophone est un cours de théâtre en français basé sur des exercices d'imagination qui sollicitent le corps et la voix pour arriver à un jeu créatif et "réel".

    Le cours intègre des méthodes diverses d'apprentissage du jeu (Meisner, Stanislavski, Chekhov, etc) pour que l'acteur puisse découvrir les outils qui marchent le mieux pour lui.

    L'accent est mis sur le travail en groupe. L'intérêt est de créer une troupe d'acteurs construite sur cet art qu'est le travail en commun, composée d'individus qui apprécient et essaient de nourrir autant le travail de la compagnie entière que de leur propres personnes.

    Nous travaillons aussi sur des scènes diverses écrites par des auteurs contemporains francophones.

    Si vous ne connaissez pas YellowKorner : YellowKorner a été créée en 2006 par deux amis, Alexandre de Metz et Paul-Antoine Briat, deux passionnés de photographie depuis leur enfance. Le concept de YellowKorner relève d'une équation très simple: augmenter le nombre d'exemplaires d'une photographie d'art pour la rendre accessible aux plus grand nombre de collectionneurs. Ainsi, au lieu de proposer 30 tirages à 5000 euros, YellowKorner choisit d'en éditer 500 à 300 euros.

    Les Français en sont fous et les galeries à Paris ne désemplissent pas. En 2010, YellowKorner s’installe à Soho pour notre plus grand plaisir. La galerie est superbe et les photos incroyables. Des photographes très connus comme Yann Artus Bertrand, Dorotheq Lange, Man Ray, Jean Dieuzaide, Eugene Atget mais aussi de nouveaux artistes très prometteurs.

    French II class is a French acting class designed for performing arts professionals and theatre lovers with a basic to intermediate knowledge of French.The first half hour of class will focus on advanced grammar with an emphasis on verbs.

    In the second part of class, students will rehearse scenes and monologues from contemporary French plays to improve pronunciation skills, build vocabulary, develop reading comprehension and listening skills and gain cultural enrichment.

    In this introduction to acting workshop, international and American students will have the opportunity to learn basic acting technique. We will incorporate voice work, physical improvisation and scene study.

    In keeping with our mission to promote international theatre by living artists, we will draw on texts by contemporary playwrights from around the world. Students will have the choice to work on contemporary American texts or translate their scene or monologue into English from a foreign language, if they so desire.

    The class will include regular visits to international theatre events followed by discussion. This class is appropriate for international and American students.

    No acting experience required.
