We are having a demo of Jenlain Ambree, Jenlain Blonde, Jenlain St. Druon, Pietra and Colomba at Whole Foods Bowery from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Please come by and try some. Glasses available while supplies last. Here is a description of our beers:Jenlain Ambree:From the north of France, near the Belgian border, comes Jenlain Ambree, a farm-house style ale, traditionally brewed in the cooler months and stored until warmer weather. With a maltier and more rugged taste than classic beers, its generous taste lingers pleasantly in the mouth while its malty, autumnal, floral notes and hints of caramel stewed prunes and lightly toasted malt make it an ideal ingredient in many dishes. 7.5% abv.Jenlain Blonde:From the north of France, near the Belgian border, Jenlain Blonde is a farm-house style ale. Slow maturation before bottling allows the beer to release a complex panoply of aromas, set off by a dense, white, long-lasting head. After filtration it acquires a lovely, light golden hue and is very clear and effervescent. With an abv of 7.5%, this blonde ale is strong in character but full of flavor with notes of honey and peach.Jenlain St. Druon:The pale color of this top-fermented French Abbey Ale with an abv of 6% conceals a strong character set off by subtle notes of newly mown hay, fresh grass and wild berries. With a long-lasting head of dense white foam and a generously hoppy nose, this brew is a special treat for beer connoisseurs.Pietra:From Corsica, home of Napoleon, comes Pietra, an amber ale brewed with chestnut flour. Pietra, the brewery's original beer, is a cool-fermented beer of 6% abv with a beautiful amber color. It is brewed using traditional methods from selected malts and Corsican sweet chestnut flour. This unique blend gives Pietra its distinct personality. Strong and delicate, solid and soft with a touch of bitterness, a glass of Pietra slowly reveals its generous nature.Colomba:Pietra Colomba is a 5% wheat beer brewed with local wild herbs from the Corsican countryside - the Maquis. Unfiltered and bottom-fermented, it is naturally cloudy due to the presence of yeast, but its taste and aroma come from the heart of the Maquis. The delicate blend of tree strawberry, myrtle, juniper and other herbs infuse in the brew kettle, giving this refreshing beer a subtly spicy nose and flavor.
