"Till the last drop of gas" is a photo exhibition about a lonely motorcycle roadtrip, from the East coast (Daytona Beach) to the west coast, in San Francisco. After more than 5760 miles and 20 days riding and meeting people on the southern roads, David Folch, a french photojournalist, is offering his vision of the landscapes and the faces of the USA. It's also a tribute to an ending time, the fossil fuel that soon will be more difficult to find. Crossing 10 States (Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and California) and several national parks (Ocala Forest, Big Bend, White Sands, Grand Canyon and Death Valley), the trip ended at the Golden Gate bridge. The opening of this photo essay is July 8th from 6 to 9pm at Splashlight Studios, "One Hudson Square", 75 Varick, New York 10013.
