Edith Piaf & Maurice Chevalier : passion and charm show

LET’S CELEBRATE the 100 year anniversary of EDITH PIAF in her own style! In NYC, she would have enjoyed it with her friend MAURICE CHEVALIER. From “La vie en rose” and “Louise,” you will REMEMBER IT WELL with NO REGRETS.

With Sylvie Boisel, Sam Ben-Meir & Gregory Nissen

Sylvie Boisel brings life to Piaf and Chevalier in the Metropolitan Room

Who knows better than a French chanteuse how to deliver the dreamy pleasures of Edith Piaf and Maurice Chevalier?
Sylvie Boisel, a vocalist acclaimed for her tributes to Ms. Piaf is well known and respected in her native France and beyond. In Australia she was selected to sing Piaf's signature songs at the Film Festival of Sydney for the premiere of the film "La Vie En Rose" to an audience of over 1,500 people. She was delighted to perform as Edith Piaf for the Austrailian Prime Minister and her recordings and live performances can be heard on international radio.
Sylvie Boisel has perfected her tribute to Edith Piaf, which now also includes tender songs from the man who sang "Thank Heaven for Little Girls", Maurice Chevalier.  When performed by Ms. Boisel in her powerfully poignant style, these are not just "oldies", they come alive with trembling passion!
You can experience her program in the traditional chanson style here in New York City, where she takes it back to the roots, remembering and honoring Piaf's simple origins – now with the addition of touching and sentimental Maurice Chevalier classics.
