FIAF is proud and honored to welcome the heralded film producer and filmmaker Véra Belmont, a true force in French cinema. The series is dedicated to the many hats that Belmont wears, and is divided by themes to showcase her varied talents as both a producer and filmmaker. She is a great supporter and creator of film and through the years has sought out new talent, producing the first films by Maurice Pialat and André Téchiné.Quest for Fire: Set 80,000 years ago, the Oscar-winning Quest for Fire chronicles the loss of fire by a tribe and their search to reclaim it.
