The company 14:20 will present its spellbinding magical cabaret on March 4 and 5 as part of the Tilt Kids Festival,a co-production between the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF). The performance will take place at French Institute Alliance Française's Florence Gould Hall

Merging dance, shadow puppetry, circus and magic tricks, this cabaret of magie nouvelle defies theatrical conventions and audience expectations. Watch as the laws of gravity are lifted, jugglers perform unbelievable feats, and fingers intertwine to become intricate shadow puppets. Born from the endless imaginations of Cie 14:20, Paris’ masterminds of new magic.

Cie 14:20 was founded by Clément Debailleul and Raphaël Navarro in 2000. The company has been one of the first artistic bodies to advance a new form of circus entitled Magie nouvelle, or New Magic. Sensorial imbalance, and the confounding of reality is at the heart of this movement, which melds circus, theater, dance puppetry, and any other artistic discipline you can imagine. Cie 14:20, with its thirty performers and unstoppable creative force, creates art for children and adults alike.
