Concert de la Francophonie: De la Louisiane à Kinshasa
Thursday, March 21 at 7 pmThe "Printemps de la francophonie" is coming up! Do not miss our annual Concert de la Francophonie at the Lycée Français de New York, which will be celebrating the rich diversity of the Francophone diaspora and the French language. This year, we are excited to bring to the stage some very special artists: Nkumu Katalay is an artist and multi-instrumentalist from Kinshasa, who now lives in New York. His work aims to highlight the contributions of Congolese culture to modern world history. Sweet Crude is an indie pop and rock band formed in 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana by singer Alexis Marceau. The band released their debut album, Créatures, early in 2017. The lyrics of their songs combine English and Louisiana French, a dialect spoken by members of singer Alexis Marceau's family. To learn more about the concert and to get tickets, click here!
