Philippe Beck is a contemporary French poet, writer, and philosopher. He received his PhD in Philosophy from in 1994 under the direction of Jacques Derrida. Beck teaches at The European Graduate School and at the . He has published 14 books of poetry, an intellectual biography: (, 2006), a book of prose: (, 2008), and translations from Walter Benjamin, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and others.
